A few of my latest projects
The table is from a 200 year old Ponderosa pine that was in front of a buddy’s home, It died from bark beetle infestation. Not the best material for a large table but it had sentimental value to my buddy. It seats twelve. The joinery is more like post and beam than furniture but because of the material I wanted it to last and be strong.
The entertainment center is from a recycled red oak banister taken out of another friend’s home during remodeling. It was full of nails and screws so there was a lot of waste. All quarter sawn. It took longer to prep and mill the wood than it took to build.
The living room fire place mantle is solid Mahogany, the design came from a woodworking magazine although they use plywood.
The kitchen vent hood is cherry and matches the kitchen cabinets. I bought the filters, fan and silencer online, Whisper quiet and great air flow
The bedroom fireplace mantle is poplar with HD applied moldings spray painted
The photo frame is a wedding gift made of mahogany with the newlyweds names and the date of their wedding scroll sawed into the top heart.

I like your Mission style projects, very handsomely done. Your workshop is nice and orderly, very impressive.

I am going to start (finally) a walnut fireplace project, Monday. I hope my project “flows” as well as yours. I really like the balance. Well done.
