Table for twelve

This table is made from a 200 year old Ponderosa pine that was in front of a buddy’s home, It died from bark beetle infestation. Not the best material for a large table but it had sentimental value to my buddy. It seats (tightly) twelve. The joinery is more like post and beam than furniture but because of the soft material I wanted it to last and be strong. As it is all one piece glued together it was a bear moving it from my shop to my buddies dinning room. The last picture is in his place taken during a Woman’s Leadership workshop.

I like your Mission style projects, very handsomely done. Your workshop is nice and orderly, very impressive.

I am going to start (finally) a walnut fireplace project, Monday. I hope my project “flows” as well as yours. I really like the balance. Well done.
