I know that many have probably noticed a recurring theme in many of the projects that I;ve posted…gifts for my nephew Cameron. Well, I always emjoy making wooden toys and things for the little ones. Anyway, this is an older project, built back in the summer of 2007 for Cameron’s first birthday. This was also one of my first “real” projects. I used a plan I purched from ubild.com for this rocking horse. I have since built another rocking horse for a friend’s daughter’s first birthday….that one was finished to be girly using pink for the handles, saddle and rockers and yellow (blonde) for the mane and tail. Both rocking horses were built from #2 common pine and finished with blonde shellac to seal the wood and then painted…bright fire engine red for the biy and pink fpr the little girl.
BTW: I promise that all my projects won’t be kids toys ;-)
