First small box with dovetails

Decided it was time to learn how to make dovetails so I made a small box. I used scrap ash from my in laws hardwood floors and Purple Heart. Really enjoyed this little project and see more in my future. Finished with boiled linseed oil and a semigloss clear coat.

c’mon – double dovetails – I guess the operative word is first SMALL box

I think you have done dovetails before and boxes. I am guessing this is your first “small box with dovetails”. haha

This is wonderfully done. The double dovetails look great.

Thank you all for the kind words. It has a few imperfection that don’t show in pictures.. and took me far longer then it should have since I learned as I went!
