This was another request from my first sergeant and frankly, I’m not sure if I could make another. The box riser is completely mitered on all sides and corners and I almost lost some fingers making it. I thought it’d be fairly easy to make not having any end-grain showing. Well, after one side was done I was pretty nervous making the other 5 sides. It turned out handsome though. Sorry I didn’t get a pic with the flag and glass in it. The darker stain really makes the flag pop out more than a natural finish. I personally prefer a natural finish, but these aren’t for me and I aim to please (especially when told to do so)! Thanks for looking.

Looks great.

I have to make one myself by 8/15. I’ll probably start today.

Having made 4 of these already, I appreciate your comment about almost loosing fingers.
