A friend in another town has a 12 year old that he took out to get his first deer. The kid’s dad was a farrier and was killed in an auto accident a couple years ago and my friend took him under his wing. The least I could do was make a display for him to show it off.

Plaque was made from Blk. Walnut. I was contacted if I could pull this off in two weeks for a gift for Christmas. The cover came in on the 22nd.

Wow. Great job on the mount. Also an amazing deer rack. What part of the country was this from.

N.W. Kansas is where the deer is from. I help watch over a couple thousand + acres of prime hunting land that has an abundance of various wildlife.

Proud of you, Mel52, for doing this for the boy. That’s a fine first deer and your work really made it a trophy.

Hats off to you and the shooter.

You did a fine job on mounting these antlers. Nice work!
