Great job.
I’ve made one of these every time the Detroit Lions went to the Super Bowl.

Nicely done! I’d have to agree with Sheila in that I think there would be plenty of fans of all ages that would really go for these! I know one particular adult who would love one of these done up with the Yankees.
(I wonder if there are any copyright laws you have to worry about here since you are profiting off them?)
Rich, you are too funny! Maybe one of these seasons?

In answer to Jonathon – There probably are copyrights if you plan on selling these. As a designer, I found that you have to be really careful about anything that is ‘licensed’, like sports logos, Disney stuff and cartoons, and even logos like “Coca Cola”. I am not trying to be poopie, but I have seen lots of others get in trouble if they market these types of things aggresively.
That said, several years ago I painted my daughter’s old Red Flyer wagon and put all the characters from the Disney movie “Pocahontas” on it. When we went for our weekly trip to the Farmer’s Market in suburban Chicago we got a lot of OOh’s and Ahh’s every week. Many people wanted me to make them one but with my daughter at such a young age, I graciously declined. Since it was a personal thing that I made for ‘myself’ I don’t think Disney would have bothered to come after me. I think it is at your discretion.
I guess we all just have to be careful. They are still simply awesome! :)

Sheila,
Yes, that’s what I was getting at with selling things that have trademarks, or especially copyrights on them, such as team logos, etc. And I didn’t want to be a downer either, but was just raising the cautionary flag. Of course, I guess if you simply “made” these for “good customers” as a “thank you” (wink, wink), then it wouldn’t matter. Afterall, Leith never said these were “sold” to customers. ;-)
Your own personal use of the Disney characters, etc. I would think is fine. You’re not profiting off it, so I don’t see why they would bother? I certainly wouldn’t want to mess with the teams of lawyers that Disney, or the MLB has waiting in the wings though.
Anyway, back on-track… great boxes!

My only critique would be to use a piano hinge for strength or quite possilbly a “no slam” hinge for toddlers fingers. Other than that, these are completely awesome. Well done.
