Cherry recipe box with spalted apple panel

I made this recipe from some old cherry I had that was really dark and the under panel is some apple I’ve been saving for the right project. I used Mine as Antique oil for the finish.

Looks nice! That apple is very unique, I’ve never seen spalting in apple like that.

Nice. I like the curve where the top and bottom meet. I have some spalted peach that looks similar. Not the easiest to work with—how thin did you plane the apple?
