Hello Lumberjocks!
Pictured here is my latest Christmas project…a Santa cookie plate holder. This project was created using a pattern from Meisel Hardware. The Santa is made from layers of poplar. His base is red oak and the plate holder is made from alternating strips of maple and jatoba to mimic the look of a candy cane. I top coated the base and plate holder with Helmsman’s Spar Urethane. I really like a project that mixes both painted and clear coated natural wood elements. It allows me to create a cool cartoon-ish looking project that still highlights the beauty of natural wood.
Thanks for looking!
Have a blessed Christmas,
