Cherry slab with curly red oak Dutchmen. The base is mostly red oak, but I believe the stretcher and the cleats are a different variety of red oak than the standard. It’s all through-tenon construction, wedged with Blackwood. Very happy with a new technique I tried on the legs. They are square down to the cross supports, but from there I chamfered them down to octogons. It was a bit fussy but once I switched from a spokeshave to a black plane it became much easier. Finished with three coats of osmo. By far, my new favorite finish for tables that see a lot of use.

This is a wonderful slab. You did a beautiful job on this table.
