So the story goes like this….
My daughter brings home 7 kittens she found in the road.
They are all very sick with a respiratory thing, and four of them had open wounds with maggots. Gross !
One of them past away on the way to the vet.
All are doing well now with some antibiotics and some TLC.
One (the very littlest one) had an infection in both eyes.
Today one eye was removed and the other is temporarily stitched shut to aid in healing.
Pray for this little one’s other eye to heal please.
Okay, I am affiliated with an organization called Kitty Harbor ( a no kill cat shelter here where I live ) and they agreed to take the kittens in if I would foster them. They cover the cost of the vet bills. I have done this in the past for them.
In order to help offset the cost of vetting I donated these two cutting boards to raffle at the end of August.

The Wave is 8 1/2” x 11” x 1 1/2” and is made with Hard Maple and Walnut.
The Weave is 9 1/2” x 13” x 1 1/4” also made with Hard Maple and Walnut.

Both finished with Howard Butcher Block Conditioner and buffed.

Thanks for looking,

Lisa

They are beautiful. I hope you bring in lots of money from them. I love cats and have had them all my life. It is a very kind thing you are doing for these poor animals. Thanks so much for sharing your story.

Really great looking boards, Lisa. Yup, I’ve got to try that wave design.
Will they be putting up a way that people can buy raffle tickets on their website?
There are a couple of places I could post the info and help raise money.

You and your daughter are heros in my book for taking in the kitties. I hope they grow strong and healthy and land in terrific forever homes.

Hey Lisa,
Fine looking boards for a great cause. Good for you.
I just love the natural tones of these.
Nice photos too.

MaryAnne,

I am trying to figure out how to load the flyer to my website.
I can do a PayPal payment and fill out the tickets here with the donators info.
I will post more info in the next few days for anyone interested in taking a chance in the raffle.
Kitty Harbor is a federally recognized non profit, all donations are tax deductible : )
Thanks for asking,

Lisa

Both beautiful boards and I, too, hope they sell high and that there is fierce bidding on them. Thank you for fostering the kittens, I’ve had many in my life but not at the present time.

Lisa A great job. I hope that the bids are high and that many cats get hellped.

Great boards, Lisa. You should bring in a tidy sum for them.
The cause is one that is very close to my heart!
You go girl!!

Lisa, really nice job with the boards and the kittens. Would love to know how you put the weave together, looks like where each weave meets there should be a small opening. Thanks for posting!
