I make these every year twice a year, I do a craft show at the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival and for X-mas. This is a grape leaf wine glass holder that sits atop a bottle of wine. Use up whatever scrap piece you have and it does not even have to be flat 100%. Cut this out with a coping saw, fret saw or on the scroll saw, drill holes for the buttons which look like grapes and drill the glass and center through holes. I stain the leaves green and put the buttons on masking tape so they stay still when I spray paint them purple. Glue the buttons in the holes you drilled earlier. Buy a case of 12 cheap wine glasses at Wal Mart add your favourite bottle of wine. VOILA, a gift for anyone at x-mas and you used up those tiny pieces in your shop that have been piling up and you just couldn’t bear to throw out.

Kevin,
This is a unique gift and another nice use for “scrap” material.
