this table came about again for a college assessmment.. was only given a few criteria to meat..so i went over the top as usuall. mortcie and tenons used for the base. the top is made up from ash and iroko to create the chess board effect…but thanks to bad suggestions from people who think they know every thing i used a strong stain( they said ash deos not take stain…....i think he lied). even after heavy sanding i had no luck saving the top… so i finished the top with some turn buttons to fix top to bottom and seceral coats of polish.

they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder….thats why i need to go to the optitions….it was my first real attempt at designing…i still cant make up my mind myself…i believe i was at the young age off 20 when this crept out of my head..:)
