This was my version of the balancing wine bottle i made some 15 years ago. I just happened to have an extra 2 lbs hammer and no wine at the time. Still gets lots of doubletakes when people see it.

The board is a piece of Red Oak and not sure what the hammer is made of. I sprayed them both with black laquer.

Paper-weight? Attitude alignment tool?

Oh! And I was thinkin’ of a couple of smartalec remarks like…”Hammers are made of steel” and “Alabammers are not noted for their wine making capabilities” “Maybe you need to make one that will support a mason jar.”...But I won’t. I couldn’t stoop so low as to belittle one of my fellow Americans. I’ll let the Canadiens do it.

LOL!

Really novel idea. What are the dimensions of the holder and where do you drill the hole? Wouldn’t mind making a few for Christmas gifts – I’d use wine though, I doubt many people would want a hammer for Christmas (present company excluded).

I thought that it was the bottle opener. Sorry.
