I got onto segmented turning in the fall of 2009. This vessel is my 16th segmented project. The woods are
Maple, Bocote, & mahogany. I applied a friction wax finish over a 600 grit final sanding. I don’t use a computer program to aid in design, just a rough dwg. and trig to figure out segment length.

Very nice piece, like the added color and grain that the bocote gaved this piece.

Great turning. Love segmented pieces. Yours has a nice pleasing shape to it. The contrast ring is a great added touch.
Keep it up.
