Since posting pictures of my shop I’ve had several people inquire about my wooden bandsaw, personally I can’t take credit for it as I rent my fathers shop for my work and this little gem is his doing, but I thought it would be nice to show since people keep asking about it.

Funny, I was just thinking the other day about whether a bandsaw could be built out of wood. I guess this answers my question. Thanks for showing.

Thanks so much for posting this saw.
For those LJ’s interested in wood band saws here is a link to a very nice feature on a wood band saw.
It is built by a woodworking, engineering, genius named Matthias Wandel.
Here is his wood band saw.
If you haven’t checked out his amazing web site (woodgears.ca) give it a peek the band saw is only one of his amazing shop made contraptions.
I like to visit this guys site often, I never know what he’ll fabricate next.

That is simply amazing. Thanks for the link also…pretty cool to watch how effortlessly he cut a log into lumber on a homemade bandsaw.
