This is a table I made from plans I bought at Woodcraft. Can’t begin to tell you now who put the plans out. Solid walnut except for the drawer bottoms. I screwed up the drawers and ended up using pocket holes to build them instead of locking rabit joints. Otherwise I think I did ok with the build. The front apron, drawer fronts, etc. were made from one piece of walnut – hence the nice grain flow. The table was donated to my church for our services auction and brought in $475 for the church. I’m very proud of that.

Great looking table Betsy AND for a worthy cause. You did a good thing, both with the table and the generous donation. AND you got my 1000th post.

Thanks Ozzy. I honestly don’t recall what I used on the finish, but believe I used wipe on poly.

thanks EGA. I’m glad you like what I’ve done. Welcome to LJ’s. It’s addicting – but there are some great folks on line here and everyone is really helpful with the advice. Look forward to your projects and posts.
Semper fi right back at ya! (never was a Marine – but friends were.)
