One of my Bucket List items was to build an heirloom project for my son of his choosing. He selected this notebook desk plan as found in a Woodsmith article(Picture 6). The final result included alterations and modifications added as part of my natural build process. The only other requirement was that it had to be a father/son project to add to the heirloom memories, happy to say that he was a willing participant. All joinery was with Dowelmax, finish is spray urethane.

Hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Great job, great memories! Did you build two? Locations and wood tones different?

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the compliments, to answer your question, all pics are of the same piece, only one in existence. Any differences noted would have to be as a result of the lighting conditions and different angles.

@DocSavage45…...........I am not sure, but according to the description, isn’t picture no. 6 from the Woodsmith article?

Congrats on a great build Douglas!

That’s a great looking desk—and some nice father/son time in the shop! I’m sure he’ll treasure it!

Doc,
Yes, you are correct, for clarification my reply to your question should have reiterated that pic #6 was the Woodsmith photo, I put the pic in to give the viewers the source of my inspiration. I only wish I had the ability to conjure up a design such as that. Sorry for the misdirection, fake news was not my intention.
