The sculpture side of me happens at night. (If I’m not too wasted from sawmilling!) No distractions… good music…some java…you get the idea. This piece was shaped from a block of African mahogany. It stands about 500mm high. Finish is Danish Oil and wax.

Thanks for the eyeball!

Thanks for the kind words, wizzard and isetegija and mads and cher. Yes, the music, that’s the thing! No music, no woodwork, no nothing!

Div – I have to ask what music you find best for your creative times? Music is very emotive and a powerful influencer.

For me it’s ERA, Nightwish, Enya, Cafe del Mar, Gregorian, Reggae, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Adam Ant, Jethro Tull, Johnny Clegg, Adiemus, and a variety of Celtic music depending on the the mood I wish to enter. There are tons of other musicians and types that I love working to, but these are my most frequent choices

Oh yes – Beautiful work by the way.

My prof in college told us, “a sculpture that makes you want to reach out and touch it, is what sculpture is”. This definately wants to be touched. I love your music. I saw Jethro Tull way back in the late 60’s, yea, great music. I love this form, very effeminate. Thank you for sharing.
