Project Information

This cooler is part of a project for a client who wanted an outdoor kitchen that was easy to maintain. I call this a rustic industrial look. I should be finished by the end of the week and will post pics of everything. This is the 3rd cooler I have built and there will be more. The cooler is a plain $16.00 one that you can find at any of the local mega-lo marts (King of the Hill). There is a 1/2" thick exterior plywood carcass. Inside the carcass is the cooler and 3/4" blue Dow Foam Board. Normally it is wrapped on the outside with new or used cedar pickets glued to the plywood, but this one is galvanized corregated metal. It has an 1-1/2" drain on the bottom.
I am told that it will keep ice and your favorite adult beverage for 3 to 4 days. I guess I will have to check it out myself…Vic

very cool idea…no pun intended. nice way to dress up a deck or patio by keeping the mega-lo-mart cooler hidden and also adds additional functionality the to cooler as well.
