Hello Fellow Lumberjocks:
It’s the most wonderful time of the year; so I say, why not celebrate it by doing some fun woodworking projects?! Pictured is Santa’s sleigh and 4 reindeer. The santa/sleigh figure and 4 reindeer bodies are made from 7/8” thick white pine. Santa’s sleigh is three layers thick while the reindeer are only one. The reindeer ears and antlers are 1/4” baltic birch plywood. The candy cane poles are poplar and the bases are maple. I used acrylic craft paints to color the figures and top-coated with Helmsman Spar Urethane. I used plastic eyes from Meisel Hardware and I picked up the little silver bells on the reindeer harnesses at Hobby Lobby. This project was created using a Meisel Hardware print. It is bigger than it looks. When lined up as pictured it is approximately 30” long and 5” wide. The antlers on the tallest reindeer reach about 15”. Someday I may add 4 more reindeer to complete the set but I am going to need a much bigger mantel (future project idea?) on which to display it. Thanks for looking!
Happy Holidays,

Thanks everyone for the kind words. These were so much fun to make. Every step of the process (even the finishing!) was enjoyable. Glad you like them.
