Wood gloat!!!
All the camphor was named “Bee Tree Camphor”. Somewhere either in or on the tree there was a bee hive which gave it some extra character :)
1. Camphor Burl!! Ive never turned a burl beforee
2. More Camphor Burl! i plan on making a short vase out of this one
3. A huge chunk of Curly Camphor :) kind of oddly shaped, i think ill make a vase.
4. Rosewood!!! i was told i should make three platters :)
5. Pic #1 was cut into pen blanks, and this is what i got. Theres also a bit of rosewood in there.

Keep Checking Craigslist!!!!!

Yeah,
I’d gloat too!
That camphor is going to be stunning. Be sure to post the end results.

Thanks

Great slab of lumber. That one piece looks like a giant slice of pizza…

Very cool. Wood gloat’s are the best. I love Burl and any kind of cool wood. Guess that’s why I call myself a “Wood Nut”.

Why did I spend 26€ today on a sheet of (premium) amboyna burl veneer, when you have very nice, free camphor burl stock? :p

That rosewood is sexy as hell, too :)
