Hello, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that has been posting and contributing to this great site. For the past several months I’ve been checking the site everyday and learning a lot form everyone’s experience. I finally joined today and wanted to say thank you. I also figured I would post something I have completed. Our cat kept knocking over the dog’s water dish. So my wife decided we needed to raise the dog’s bowls off of the floor so I made this bowl holder. It’s made out of some flakey white oak from a pallet I managed to snag from work. In the pic you can see my cat isn’t to upset one more thing for to climb on. Thanks again! And Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received. Tim

Just like a cat, great idea I don’t know how many times I have stepped in a puddle from a spillage. And, welcome to the forum.

Nice job & welcome to LJ.
I don’t think my 6 pound (and 6” tall) papillon would do well with these raised bowls.

Looks like that’s a perfect fit to keep it out of the way!
I like the paw that you cut out in front too.
What did you finish it with?
And welcome to LumberJocks!

We had a Great Dane who was to say the least A Very BIG Boy. Your project looks so much nicer and planned and put together then the one I threw together. I made mine out of an old bed headboard that I dug out of a dumpster. The legs I threw on were old 2×2’s that were long enough that as he grew I could move them down to make it longer.
Anyway sorry going off in a daydream….. this is a very good project and I wish my old boy was still here.
