A game table With interchangeable inserts for the top. Besides a chess / checker board a few other fun games.
Many tops are reversible too.
One plane top to use it as a table for cards etc.

The drawer holds the game pieces including the home made chess pieces.
Oak, Maple and Walnut used.
Made mostly with hand tools. Top was hand planed.

Amost impressive job on the Games Table

A couple of questions if I may.
Why have you got supports under the legs?
In picture 4 how did you make the round holes in the timber Insert?

To answer the questions.
It was up on the bed stands just for ease of finishing. I’m not as limber as I used to be. Lol.
The round holes were made in my drill press with a Forster bit
