Here is the Murphy Bar I was working on. It is made from Cedar.

Question: Does the hinge hardware lock at 90 degrees? Or is there something that keeps it from getting kicked out or in while it’s down?

Nice work! It’s beautifully done and a very practical piece.

We don’t drink, but the concept can be used for much more than a bar.
Nice execution and good looking too.

Swirt, you found the weak spot. At this point there is nothing to keep it from being kicked out. I am trying to figure out how to prevent a problem.

Obviously Swirt has a point, but it’s built. It’s done. It’s nice. I think you’ll be fine.

If you don’t get too drunk, you’ll probably never have a problem… however I don’t condone soberness… it’s a bar, you should get real drunk and let the chips fall where they may.
