My wife needed a speaker for work to be able to listen to music, I found the speaker kit on
Rockler and it wasn’t a terrible price, I thought it could have been a bit cheaper but it did have good sound even if it is only a mono speaker.

The hard part was the cutting of the material, since the largest part is only a 3×3 at a 1/4 in. The hold was easy enough using a Forstner Bit to the size of the speaker, also from Rockler. A Dado groove for the front and back to fit into, and then glue it all up, sand to a fine grain, finish with a Polycrylic clear, and install the speaker and connect the Blue Tooth. Turned out pretty well, next one won’t have mitered corners though, think I will do either a dovetail, or a box joint for that. The cherry was a nice wood to work with for this project.

Love it! Nice looking speaker.

I looked and looked at that kit. Kept wishing for a stereo kit. ‘Spose they’ll make one eventually?>

Thank you it actually has pretty decent sound for a mono speaker.

One side is the speaker, the other side is the sub power connection and built in blue tooth receiver. I got the speaker as a kit from rockler.
