Wormy red oak,with walnut lid, curly maple insert. Totally blew it on the box joints , got the pattern messed up but still went together. Good enough for me.

looks pretty good to me, nice storage case for a valuable set of tools
Is that 0-1” up to 8” ?

This is a beautiful box for a nice set of micrometers. You did a wonderful job on it and it and it displays a lot of nice details and craftsmanship.
