Here is my first attempt at an end grain cutting board. I did it as a supplemental wedding gift for a good friend of mine. I used some cut offs I had that I thought came together well. Yellow birch, and walnut are the two I remember. I don’t recall the third species that was used. I have a few things to work on to make the next one better, but it was still fun to make. Thanks for looking.

Good job …..is that the natural color ? what finish did you apply ?

Very nice. Lots of grain going on there.
I have never worked with Yellow Birch. It looks nice.

Thanks for the comments. For the finish I sanded to 150 and used several coats of butcher block oil.
