My family wanted to contribute to a family project for my father in law. We decided to make him a sign for his shop. He was a huge influence on me becoming a woodworker, so i chose some unique spalted red oak from my lumber pile. We used a cheap Craftsman Sign Making Kit that my grandfather purchased from Sears. I wanted to do a simple finish for the project to show off the natural beauty of this cool wood. Here’s my process of building the sign start to finish…enjoy!

Very nice sign and a nice gesture.

You did a nice job on this sign.
