Hey Everyone, I’m a LumberJocks newby. Hope you like this little video I put together of my latest project, an outdoor plant stand made of Cedar. Had a great time making it, as I’m sure you all understand. Other projects still live at http://picasaweb.google.com/rswilkinson . welcome to L J enjoy it and have fun but be aware it´s addictive believe me :—)

great vidio about a cool project keep let them come

One question thow how the H… did you get that corner to stay
in place before you glued and doweled it , still wonder how you cuold lift it and turn it over
with out having it falling apart
I´m totally new in woodworking so bare over with me = ( need a dummieproof explanation)

Your answers:
@Dennisgrosen – I tried a few different clamp configs, all failed miserably. Ended up using good ‘ol hot glue to keep things together temporarily while I got the dowels and outdoor wood glue in place. The joints feel rock solid and I’ll be interested to see how they hold up against the elements.

@Jonathan – I bet you could get one done in a weekend, if you can get the shop time. There isn’t a lot of setup on this one compared to a more formal piece of furniture. I took much longer to built three of them but most of my time was spent prototyping. Please take advantage of my work and copy freely!
