I needed practice on Greene & Greene finger joints, and my wife was tired of dog toys all over the living room. All joints and curves were done with hand tools only (I cheated and used the table saw for cutting the rough pieces to size). White oak and walnut dowels. ‘Reddish-Brown’ Transtint, BLO, and wipe-on poly.

Not a complex project, but the dog likes it!

-- Red pencil, red marker, marking knife... doesn't mater, the wood will end up the same color.

Those fingers are looking good!

Dog toy box? You have got to be kidding! We have a dog toy basket and within an hour, the toys are all spread around the house again. It’s like the opposite of a roach motel.

Thank you sir! We’ll see how many treats it will take before she learns to pick up her own toys… I see her getting really fat in the near future!

Great project…and looks like the dog approves as well.

Have your say...
