I had to try a box after seeing YorkshireStewart’s wooden hinge. This one is walnut with purple heart ,maple and padauk. Could not talk the missus out of her knitting kneadles though.

I have tried similar hinges but this is just great..

I like the hinge idea. I must try these sometime. I enjoy Mike’s and these are an interesting variation. I wonder.

Very nice! The three thin stripes angled across the top and two down the front add so much to what otherwise would be “just a box”. Then we turn it around and see that on the back you have constructed a wonderful wooden hinge. So, as David said, it’s not “just a box”, it’s a great box!
