A simple box (4”x5”x12”) made from Ziricote, with rare “Landscape” grain, lined with aromatic Red Cedar. The box walls are 1/4 of one inch thick because the wood is so beastly expensive. Ziricote is usually used by Luthiers. Although easy to work, its dust is deadly (at least to me) and so small it’s difficult to filter. The box actually looks better then the photos, I didn’t see the dust on the edges before I took the photos.

You have dust in your photos, I have cat hair 8^)

That is a nice and clean box design, I feel your pain about needing to keep the exotic wood usage down. I like the woods, but not the prices!
