After seeing YorkshireStewart’s project Patchwork Flash Drive I was inspired to try a similar project. I have a few more design ideas and I love the way they turned out. I cut several pieces into waves or stripes, then glued them up to be a flat piece again then. Then I cut those pieces to fit together in fun ways. simpler to do then explain, and easier then the result looks.
The third picture is a set of earrings from the extra pieces that had been glued up for the first two necklaces. Maple, cherry and Narra, I think.
I am not sure of the woods in the fourth picture, but it looks cool together.
The last picture is a set of earrings that I made with a variety of woods.

Outstanding! Very orginal and using small pieces of wood like this makes it so that the varoius results are endless. Thanks for sharing! Where do you get your metal parts if I may ask?

Most of the time I get the metal pieces from a craft store, michales or joann. The pieces that connect the necklace to a chain are called bails.

I wouldn’t be caught wearing them but my wife definitely would! I will say that they are beautiful.

They’re great,
I have been meaning to do something similar with all those small pieces I have kept from scrolling. Too busy with other things at the moment- I am sure they can wait a little longer :-)
