Just finished this hall tree for my wife. Construction is poplar and panels are red oak. Finish is GF Lamp Black Milk Paint. Oak panels GF Georgian Cherry. Everything covered with GF High Performance. I’ve never been a fan of water based clear finishes but really impressed with this stuff. This project took a lot longer than planned. My original plan was for the panels to be oak plywood but after looking at them they looked like…....plywood. Cheap. So I decided to go with raised panels and I think it works. Wife wasn’t happy when it was so near to moving into the house and I changed course but now she’s happy that I did.
