2017 LumberJocks Knife Swap - Meat Carving Set

I made this meat carving knife set for RichCMD for the 2017 KnifeSwap. It’s my first time to join a swap, as well as my first time to put scales on a knife. I really enjoyed doing both. I purchased the knife blanks online, and then used some walnut crotch to make the knife scales. It was a fun process, and I learned a lot in the process.

Excellent timing and honestly I think that walnut is some of the best I’ve seen. Rich will use those every year for many Monday years to come I’m sure!

Way to go Pete. Like you this was my first swap. It is wonderful what a learning experience we seem to enjoy. This was perfect timing so the gobbler gets cut up very nicely. Good work (or fun). Wife loves these.
