I bet they would have just discarded that wood, Wow it is so beautiful.

I would be afraid to put anything in there for fear of marring that finish.

Very cool. May I ask what type finish you use ? What size is that?

I appreciate the kind comments. The finish is a coat of water white vinyl sealer and 2 coats of CAB Acrylic sanded to an extremely thin but durable finish.
