This is a 8” Walnut bowl that my wife turned. I think it’s a great piece. She is really taken with turning of all sorts. We just attended a pepper mill class together the other weekend. She wants make those for Christmas gifts this year.
I am a very fortunate man. Doubly so now that my wife and I have a hobby that we can share. Not to mention it does not hurt my chances with regards to new tool purchases. ;)

Your wife has done a great job, “for a girl.” ;^D
Your right, if she does woodwork too, you might be able to buy a lot more tools, etc.

You are going to need another lathe. She’s going to take over your current one.

Chris it looks like it’s time for Mrs. Chris to establish her own Lumber Jock identity. She is a true Lumber Jock, so why not. What a great situation you have – wanting to buy a tool and not having to explain to your wife what you need it for AND she will probably want to buy tools too. Sounds like a win/win situation – more tools and more quality time spent together.

She did a beautiful job on this one. It looks like the kind you would love to hold in your hands to feel the smoothness of it.
