First time poster here.
I worked with my cousin, from San Jose, to design this wedding gift bed over email using Word of all things. No Sketchup at the time! After 14 revisions, we came up with this concept. His local brother helped me create this one-of-a-kind bed. It’s solid Gen. Mahogany, with Birds-eye maple sand shaded inlays, and ebony accent plugs. The inscribed rock was from a hike near Yosemite Park where Steve asked Susan to marry him.
Finished in Deft lacquer.

Nice looking bed, would be cool to sleep in something you made. Like the cut-outs and inlay…..

Very nice, I especially like the stars and how they span the narrow gaps between two boards. Very cool. :-)
