I got this cane finished up this weekend and he turned out pretty good! The handle and shaft are basswood, joined with an oak dowel. I wood-burned all of the scales and painted it with washes of acrylic paint. The final finish is polyurethane, with an extra coat on the lizard to give him a little bit of a sheen. The final touch was a drop of epoxy on each eye, that really seems to bring it to life. Thanks for looking!

Unique and definitely a conversation starter that is sure to be noticed when it is used. I especially like the pads on the feet. Reminds me of the green frogs we have here in IA.

Mike, this cane is so fantastic. It’s a real eye catcher and it displays a lot of fine skill and craftsmanship.
