Made this one out of mahogany. Wings were carved with a Carvewright and painted. Fairly simple one but still pretty cool. I used a french cleat to hang it.

I use a modified french cleat for my hanging projects.
Same support but allows you to move the piece to level it.
Next time you see me in Woodcraft I can show you what I do.
(It’s never the cleat on the project that’s the problem, it the cleat on the wall that customers put up wrong.)
