I posted this vase a few days ago. This is my fix,I had to use a screw chuck in the bottom, mounted back on lathe and parted off broken pieces and glued on a piece of walnut which allowed me to mount to a face plate and fix the bottom, screw chuck went all the way through so I had to glue in a patch.I built a steady rest to help keep the vase on the lathe this time. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to fix it rather than the fire pit.

-- Flemming. It's only a mistake if you can't fix it.
