My cracked bandsaw box

I was so pleased with how this bandsaw box had turned out until it cracked…..

The plans for this bandsaw box came from a posting on another site. I know that several LumberJocks have made these but there aren’t too many posted.

This was my first bandsaw box and it was fun to make. I got to use my bandsaw in some different ways; some a little frightening I must say. I also got to listen to an entire audio book during the never ending sanding. This project it tough on bandsaw blades and my oscillating spindle sander had quite a workout.
I am looking forward to making more bandsaw boxes but will try a more conventional design with flowing lines for my next one.

That’s a pretty cool idea. Really thinking outside the box.

Beautiful bandsaw box. They do take a lot of sanding.
