I’ve always liked the look of wormy maple. I think the walnut sets off the dark streaks nicely. A gift for a friend, the gages came from Rockler and are thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer. The station can stand on it’s own or can be hung on the wall.

I love the wormy maple also.
The originality of the pieces posted here on this site always frightens me.

Brad, You popped up on the home page so had to check this out as I am working on one myself as a retirment gift for my manager. I’ll be posting it after I give it to him in couple of weeks.
Yours looks great I do liek the look fo the wormy maple base.
