This is a Lectern that I built for Gracie Barra America. The school teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This project is made out of Natural and Amber Bamboo. The Patch is made out of Padauk and Curly Maple. The fighters are made out of a few different species, mainly Walnut and Maple. The Belt is hand carved out of Amber Bamboo and then stained black. The stripes are Paduak and Natural bamboo. The inlayed letters are Amber Bamboo stained black. The knob is padauk and natural bamboo. The dovetails are hand cut. The case is stained with a white wash. The finish is enduro poly. You can find more information on this project in my lectern blog.
I am entering this project into the Fluidity contest because of the gracefull lines of the Lapel and the gentle curves of the case.
As always I welcome constructive criticism, positive or negative.
