Treasure chest for my grandson, poplar from the scrap box, an old tool belt from a yard sale and a new one from Ace hardware.

I was finishing two Hope Chests for my two grand daughters and mamaw said “don’t forget Jake”....so he gets a Pirates treasure chest!

The top was fun, otherwise it was just a box!
Also my first attempt at making something new look old.

He liked it so I guess I’ll mark it as successfull!

What a treasure! I can just imagine the jewels and coins gushing out.

Awesome and authentic rustic look. It’s one of my first projects. I like combination of wood and metal parts.

Nice treasure chest! Looks authentic – like it came from an old pirate ship.
