I needed some door pulls to an interior door in my house. The commercial stores didn’t have anything the size I needed except something like barn door pulls. So, I have this zebra wood and….

They measure 5/8×3 x 6”, and would also make good cabinet door pulls. I used copper tubing to space them 5/8” out from the door. Five coats of thinned poly.

Nice Idea, it has a touch of class. As you noted in smaller dims. it would work well on any thing. It also works well for lefties or righties.

Are we going to get to see this installed on the doors ? Did you give any thought to recessing the screw heads or is this the original concept ? What is the door made out of that this is going to be installed on ? Nice workmanship : )

Dusty - Alas, no. The pulls were sent off and no picture came back. The screw head thing bothered me. I was going to try hiding them, but the pulls were to be installed on either side of a passageway door with the bolts in the exact same place. So, I went the other way and made them prominent. Threaded inserts were used for the bolt housings in the door. If you can’t hide it, flaunt it. On a cabinet type installation, it would have been much easier. Just screw them from the back.
The door is an old, painted, raised panel, wood door.
