Got the idea from a magazine I had seen where they used shelving components to build a nice corner desk. Used their measurements but rather than use off the shelf components I built my own wooden brackets to go into the wall and framed up some 3/4” ply maple to use as the desk pieces. It’s been VERY nice not having to deal with any legs and it’s been able to support the computer, a printer, a 12lb kitty cat and I think I’ve seen my wife hang her legs up there before which is quite a bit of trust in my abilities to find studs in the wall.

Just something to keep in mind if you build similar… I goofed on the brackets by adding a cross brace before thinking of how I’d attach it to the wall… Make sure you leave yourself room to drill into the bracket and screw it into the stud ;) Didn’t really think that one through while constructing it.

Was a tough call spending the cash on the Mac but we’ve had this one 2 years and I’m glad for the purchase. =) Made it easier designing the desk too! lol
