i have been a member for quite sometime, but have never posted any of my work recently searching thru various projects i came across some pictures of dipping boards i thought that would be a really neat project to try and so i made a couple, here is my version made with maple, purpleheart and brazilian cherry.

Very nice design, simple but dramatic, excellent choice of contrasting woods. Nice finish work, too.

Excellent work and a very interesting design.

Can you say how you finished it?

That is really nice. The shape, the wood choice, the routing…. The whole package.

What kind of finish do you have on it?

Needs chicken wings, but it is a great idea and execution.

Very nice project, I’m sure that this will be useful and like Schmidty said, it should be the “talk of the party”. You found that beautiful curly maple at HD? Must be some different than my local HD’s; I once found a nice curly maple board at Lowes once but have never found much in the way of good hardwood at Big Orange. You did a wonderful job routing the cavities for the dip bowl and hors d’oeuvres.

Nice work. Please keep posting your projects; we’re all interested.
