Very nice. Box elder sure has some cool color and figure. I’ve never worked with it before, but it sure is an intriguiing wood.

...Doc – (IMHO) Box Elder turns really nice and is pretty easy to work with. This blank was nice because the wood was really blonde/white and had some nice figure, the only downside being that the red wasn’t as intense. I have some others that have more intense red streaks but are really yellow.

Great looking bowl. I’m no turner but it looks very well done. The bottom base is this big enough to keep from tipping? Thought maybe it looked small but propaly the camera angle. I never heard of this Red Box Elder, I have worked with elder in the past.
