First Turned Bowl

I wanted to share my first bowl turned on a lathe. The bowl was turned out of poplar and measures 7-1/2” in diameter and stands 2” tall.
Finished with wipe-on poly.
Looking back on it, this could have been sanded much better, could probably have used a few more coats of poly. It has been put to use on the entry hall table as the change/key bowl.

Thanks for looking… ...any feedback is appreciated.

The poplar sure finished out pretty; I like the nice sheen and the pattern in the grain. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful first bowl. Be careful, bowl turning can get addictive.
